Voice agents for consumer durables

AI agents that answer your service helpline, call owners before a warranty ends, and help your technicians at the customer's door, in more than 25 languages. They work from the registered product, the warranty and the service history, and finish the task during the call: raise the ticket, book the visit, reserve the part, send the payment link. Tilicho builds and runs them inside your own Google Cloud project, starting from accelerators for 23 consumer-durables use cases.

Washer not drainingEnglish
Sample call
AgentCustomerSystems
Caller number matched: front-load washer, installed Mar 2025, under warranty until Mar 2027. No open ticket
AgentThanks for calling ABC Appliances service. I'm an AI assistant, and this call is recorded. Are you calling about your front-load washer?
CustomerYes. It won't drain, and the display shows E21.
Error code read: drain fault. Most common fix on this model: drain pump filter
AgentE21 means the water isn't draining. There's a small filter behind the panel at the bottom front of the washer. Could you try cleaning it? I'm texting you a short video.
CustomerI did that yesterday. Same problem.
AgentOkay, then a technician needs to come out. Your washer is under warranty, so the visit and the repair are free. Tomorrow 8 to noon, or 1 to 5?
CustomerTomorrow morning.
Ticket raised: drain fault, E21, in warranty. Visit booked: tomorrow, 8 am to 12 pm
Drain pump reserved in the assigned technician's truck stock
SMS sent: ticket number, visit window, filter-cleaning video
Registration read: refrigerator, installed Nov 2024, warranty ends Nov 18. Prior express written consent on file. Extended protection plan for this model and age: $219 for 3 years
AgentBuenas tardes. ¿Hablo con la señora Lucía Hernández?
CustomerSí, soy yo.
Registered owner confirmed
And send me the details, please.
Ticket raised: ice maker not working, in warranty. Visit booked: Thu, 1 pm to 5 pm
SMS sent in Spanish: plan details and payment link, $219
Follow-up call scheduled: 2 days, if the link is unpaid, inside the calling hours
Caller is technician T-1042, on a registered phone, with an open job at this customer
AgentHi Marcus. Which customer are you with?
CustomerPhone number 512-555-0147. Refrigerator not cooling.
Customer read: two products. French-door refrigerator, installed 2021, out of warranty. One visit in 2023: door gasket replaced
AgentThe refrigerator has been out of warranty since 2022. Last visit was a door gasket in 2023. What are you seeing?
CustomerCompressor runs, freezer is cold, fresh food side is warm.
AgentOn this model that's most often the evaporator fan motor, then the defrost sensor. The fan motor isn't on your truck. The Round Rock parts depot has 3, and you can pick one up today.
Fan motor reserved at the Round Rock parts depot for T-1042
CustomerSend the customer an estimate.
Estimate sent to the customer by SMS: fan motor and labor, with an approve-and-pay link
AgentSent. I'll let you know when the customer approves. The customer is also eligible for a protection plan on this refrigerator. Want me to include it?
Ticket updated: diagnosis, part reserved, estimate pending approval

Three agents on one service record

The helpline, the field and the warranty base, each with its own agent. All three read and write the same customer, product and ticket record, so one integration supports all three.

One call

Before, during and after the call

1

Before the ring

The number is matched to the customer's registered products: model, serial, install date, warranty or protection plan status, open tickets and past visits. Before an outbound offer call, the consent record, the Do Not Call lists and the local time are checked.

2

During the call

The agent confirms the product, takes the symptom or the error code, tries the fix the customer can do, and raises the ticket, books the slot or sends the payment link while the customer is on the line.

3

When a person is needed

A smell of gas, sparks or burning, a repeat failure, a refund demand or any request for a person goes to your team live, with the product, the history and the summary on screen.

4

After hang-up

Ticket, outcome tag, transcript and recording are written to your CRM and service system. The visit reminder, the payment follow-up or the feedback call is scheduled.

Use cases

Compliance

How every call opens

The opening is fixed in the script. It is the same on every call, in every language.

1

Right person

On an outbound call the agent confirms it is speaking to the registered owner before it names the product.

2

Who is calling and why

Your brand's name and the purpose of the call, in the words your team approved.

3

AI assistant, recorded call

The agent says it is an AI assistant and that the call is recorded.

4

The conversation

Only then does the script move to the product, the problem or the plan.

Calling window
12 am8 am9 pm12 am

Calling hours

Offer and renewal calls are placed only inside the hours you set, in the customer's local time, for example 8 am to 9 pm, the window the TCPA rules set for telemarketing calls. The helpline answers at any hour.

Consent and Do Not Call

Offer and renewal calls are telemarketing. Since the FCC ruled in February 2024 that AI-generated voices are artificial under the TCPA, these calls go only to owners who gave prior express written consent. Numbers on the National Do Not Call Registry and your own do-not-call list are checked. Service calls the customer asked for are not telemarketing.

Data for technicians

A technician hears a customer's details only for a job assigned to them. A phone number alone opens nothing.

Personal data

PII is masked in transcripts and logs. Access is by role. The agent never asks for a full card number, a one-time code or a password.

Your own cloud project

The agent runs in your Google Cloud project, in a US region. Recordings and customer data stay in your storage.

Safety first

A smell of gas: the agent tells the customer to leave the home and call the gas utility or 911 from outside, then puts the call through to a person. Sparks or burning: switch off at the breaker, then a person.

Engineering

How the agent is built

Speech to speechOne model hears and speaks. The fastest replies, and the caller's tone carries through. The default for live calls.
Caller audioGemini 3.8 LiveAgent audio
CascadedThree models in sequence. Each step can be inspected, and the model cost per minute is lower. Used where the script is strict.

One turn of a call

CallerAgent Speech detected (VAD)A pause, not the endEnd of turnAgent repliesCaller interruptsAgent stopsAgent answers the new point
Voice activity detection (VAD)Separates the caller's speech from line noise and silence. Only speech is sent to the model, so silence is neither processed nor paid for.
End-of-turn detectionTells a pause in the middle of a sentence from the end of it, so the agent does not reply while the customer is still reading out a serial number.
Barge-inWhen the caller interrupts, the agent stops speaking at once and the words it did not say are dropped from the conversation.
Answering machine detectionDecided from the audio in the first seconds, before a language model is involved, so voicemail is not counted as a contact.
Noise handlingKitchens, a washer in its spin cycle, an HVAC unit running outside. The agent stays clear without asking the customer to repeat.
Context compressionA live model re-reads the call so far on every turn. Older turns are summarized, so reply time and cost stay flat on long calls.

Reliability

In-region deployment

The agent runs in the Google Cloud region closest to your customers. This is fixed before the build, since reply time cannot be tuned afterwards.

Language mirroring

The agent mirrors the customer turn by turn, so it follows the customer's language and not a setting.

Supervisor and task agents

A supervisor routes to small agents that share the state of the call. The script grows by adding agents.

Supervisor
Product lookupBookingPayment

Model fallback

A health-checked fallback model in the same region takes over mid-call, with the state of the call intact.

Warm transfer

Your team member sees the product, the history, the transcript summary and the captured details before speaking.

Closing the loop

An analyzer agent keeps each ticket open until it reaches an end state: fixed, paid, renewed, or handed to your team.

Questions

Common questions

Which languages does the agent speak?

More than 25 languages, including English, Spanish, Mandarin, Vietnamese, Tagalog, Korean, Arabic, French, Russian and Portuguese. The agent switches language during the call when the customer does, such as from Spanish to English.

What if the customer registered with another number?

The agent asks for the serial number from the product label, or the ZIP code and the name, and finds the product that way before it goes further.

Can anyone get a customer's details by calling the technician line?

No. The technician is identified by the registered phone and technician ID, and the agent reads out a customer's details only for a job assigned to that technician.

What happens when the customer wants a person?

The call is transferred live to your team with the product, the history and the summary, so the customer does not repeat the case. You decide which cases always go to a person, such as safety issues and refund demands.

Can the agent call owners about protection plans?

Yes, when the owner has given prior express written consent to calls with an AI voice, inside the calling hours, and after the Do Not Call lists are checked. The agent says it is an AI assistant at the start of every call.

Where are recordings and customer data kept?

In your own Google Cloud project and your storage. Tilicho runs the agent inside that project.

Do we have to change our telephony, CRM or service system?

No. The agent connects to your existing numbers and systems. There are more than 50 integrations, and other systems, such as SAP, are connected through their APIs during setup.
